FRIDAY JANUARY 24th: the adventures of Venus in Assiah

FRIDAY JANUARY 24

The Day of Venus in Assiah, the World of Earth. The stones attributed to Venus are Emeralds and Malachite and her metal is
Copper. Venus usually sails through a sign in a month, but this transit in Capricorn is prolonged by her retrograde cycle. Venus turns retrograde on December 21 at 29 Capricorn and goes direct on Janaury 31 at 13 degrees. Venus, the planet of love, acceptance, pleasure and the arts, is now in earthy Capricorn. This is an interesting combination of soft and hard. Sweet Venus likes things the easy way, but Saturn-ruled Capricorn is about focus, commitment and effort. This is a time when love must be earned. Effort counts as much as heart, if you want to earn the approval of others. Relationships are built on shared goals and a willingness to work through the hard spots. Venus in Capricorn rewards maturity in relationships, helping to define problems and making a commitment to solve them. Head and heart find joy and mutual understanding in each other as Mercury trines Mars, the first of three times. The Moon moves on a more passionate track in Scorpio, contacting Pluto, Jupiter and Venus to support our integration of new knowledge into our social and personal life. Scorpio represents the period from 42 years old to Death, when ones sense of Time compacts continued existence, either you breed (pass on your DNA) or step out of the loop (become your DNA). On the World scale, Scorpio is between AD 1100 and AD 1500, when the Dark Ages reached their peak. This is the Time of the Crusades and the Inquisition, when Pain, Bloodshed and Oppression swept over Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, after the uneasy alliances made during Libra. This is the sign of the Shadow. Successfully navigated, one can experience healthy, flowing spontaneous sexuality, an acceptance of Death and an integration of its reality into daily life, thus gaining a sense of the immortality of consciousness. Then turn me to salt, dyed blue, and let the cows lick me into the homunculus of remorse, whence I will go about the countryside ejaculating Your name through kitchen windows. And the people will say,
‘Look out, it’s him again.’ And, typically, there will be those among them who will say, ‘Let’s kick him to death.’
And still others will countermand them, saying, ‘No – let’s just maim him
and send him on his way.’ Citizens and townsfolk, can you not see the sign
around my diminishing neck? LOCK UP YOUR DOUBTERS: HE IS RISEN,
LIKE THE WOBBLY ROD OF MAN AS IT DOWSETH THE FLUIDIFEROUS CHALICE OF THE
EMPRESS.
